MUST READ! shocking yet not surprising?
Let me get this straight. Gates knew his products were absolute crap and wrote a letter almost 5 years ago. Since then, Microsoft's product have gotten even worst. Gates, the most powerful man at MSFT, and one of the richest man in the world couldn't do anything about it or was to lazy to get the job done. That's what is so different about Gates compared to Jobs. Jobs takes his company personally and doesn't allow for the excuse "we did the best we could given yada yada." Even worse, Gate appoints his unqualified friend Steve Ballmer making matter even worse. How does appointing Steve Ballmer ever rationalize itself as a good idea given what Gates knew was going on at MSFT?
@wookie - great points. While Gate's team at MSFT wasn't performing up to par, Gates was the man in charge and he is the one who failed.
